If we’re called to carry MORE, we must become MORE.
Not all men are called to carry the same amount of weight, and depending on how you choose to see this, it can be a good or bad thing.
In The Parable of the Talents, the master gave each servant at least one talent according to that servants ABILITY.
Matthew 25:15 says “To one he gave 5 talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability”
What talents has God entrusted you with?
What’s He called you to steward in this very season of life?
Not only is it important to know what He’s called you to manage, but it’s equally important to reflect “how am I managing this?”
“How am I stewarding this responsibility God’s trusting me with?”
Because when He comes back, which He surely will, how am I going to explain to Him how I handled, or worse, how I mishandled the gifts He gave me?
Here’s the thing about that story most people forget, and it’s secret hidden right there in the text.
“To one he gave 5 talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability”
The master didn’t just give according to the servants ability, but at the very least the master still gave ONE talent.
God never made “zero-talent” people.
That at the very least of these, He still graciously gave ONE talent.
And no matter how low you may feel today, because it may feel like the enemy’s working overtime to trick you into thinking how insignificant or invaluable you are.
Don’t give in. Don’t listen to the lies.
God never made “zero-talent” people.
Whether you feel like you’re like the one who was given five, and you feel like you’ve got too much on your plate…
Or whether you feel like you’re given only one, and you’re thinking “Really God, just one ?”…
I’m challenging you to OWN it. Whether it’s five or one.
Own it.
Steward it.
Protect it and nurture it as if your life depends on it.
Remember, it may not be your fault but it is your RESPONSIBILITY.
You are valued and highly favored.
God doesn’t make mistakes.
And if He can trust you with a few…
He knows when that opportunity comes, He will trust you with MANY.
